Vietnamese Language Class
At Lingo & Viet Noi, we see language, first of all, as a communication tool.
We align our Vietnamese course closely with the National University of Southern Vietnam so that what you learn leads to an official certificate recognised by the Vietnamese authorities. We think we are the only school offering this in Singapore.
Why learn the Vietnamese language?
Learning a new language opens your mind and lets you get to know new people with different perspectives.
You neednβt be fluent in Vietnamese to start seeing the benefits. If you try to speak just a few words, your conversation partners will be really appreciative.
Our lessons arenβt an academic pursuit. If you want to dive deeply into the Vietnamese alphabet, grammar, or calligraphy, a different language school may be better for you.
Of course, there is a place for grammar in the lessons at Viet Noi, but grammar isnβt a goal in itself. Weβll cover it as far as it helps you to speak more fluently and faster.

Lingo & Viet Noi is an official test centre
As an official test centre for MCYS and MFA officers, we take pride in ensuring the quality of our courses and assessments. With this expertise, we can deliver a comprehensive program that enables individuals to master the Vietnamese language.
Small group classes
We limit group sizes to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure the quality of our Vietnamese classes. When classes are small enough to facilitate individual student-teacher interaction, a minor miracle occurs: teachers teach, and students learn.
Centralised location
Our Vietnamese language classes are conducted at United House, which is centrally located and accessible. It is just a 6-minute walk from Dhoby Ghaut or Somerset MRT station.
Five progressive levels
There are a total of 5 levels in the CEFR framework, ranging from A1 to C1. Each level comprises 4 terms, and each term consists of 18 hours of instruction.

Onsite Vietnamese Class
Take our class onsite in our convenient location, just 6 minutes from Dhoby Ghaut and Somerset MRT stations; you will enjoy minimal hassle and travel time to reach us.Β
Group class starts at S$224 for 12 hours.
Private class starts at S$80/hour.
Online Vietnamese Class
Learn online conveniently without the need to travel to our centre. You will receive the same attention as in an onsite class without the hassle.

VLPT Test Preparation
Get ready for the VLPT exams with our intensive 20-hour courses offered in the two weeks leading up to the exam.
You can practice both the written and oral components through mock exams. Our specialised teachers will cover all aspects of the exam to ensure you’re fully prepared
We believe learning any language starts with basic conversation. When you’re comfortable asking basic questions and talking about often-discussed topics such as introducing yourself, lessons become more enjoyable and you build momentum.
There must be a catch... Nope!
The grammar in the Vietnamese language is pretty straightforward. There are no “articles,” “cases,” or “genders” in this language. The Vietnamese tenses are easy to use, and the order of the words is the same as in English: S(V)O. There is no passive form, so the situation and context is critical.
To pass VLPT test your proficiency needs to be at least B2 if not C1
